The A List – Seattle is the first regionally focused, satellite A List.
Run by former A Listers who have moved away from DC, but miss all the fun, the regional sites aim to promote local adventure sport opportunities. Most importantly the regional A Lists hope to recreate the sense of community and shared purpose of the original A List.
Chris Rumohr’s The A List™, created in 1999, is the Washington DC metropolitan area’s largest information clearing house for adventure sport training and racing. It provides resources to nearly 1,000 racers nationwide and countless others across the globe.
The A List is information for adventure sport athletes by adventure sport athletes (and by athlete we mean anyone who has ever had the urge to compete in the great outdoors). Chris believes that everyone is an adventure racer; they just don’t know it yet! A Listers run the gamut of experience from those who have never raced before all the way to veteran Eco Challenge athletes.
People come to the A List when they want to find a race or teammate or training partner (or future mate). Race directors come to The A List™ to promote their events, find volunteers, or just get the skinny on what’s happening. The A List™ also provides continual top grade training opportunities for every discipline needed in an adventure race – often times led by the areas top climbers, bikers, paddlers and endurance runners.
